Samsung has set its Galaxy Unpacked event for February 25. The company is expected to reveal the Galaxy S26 lineup and other new devices in its first big smartphone launch of 2026.
Official invites confirm February launch
Samsung has started sending out invitations for the February 25 Unpacked event, which will highlight the new Galaxy S26 series. According to TechCrunch, this continues Samsung’s yearly tradition of launching its flagship S-series phones early in the year.
The event will begin at 10 AM PT, 1 PM ET, and 7 PM CET. It will be streamed live on Samsung’s website and YouTube channel.
Galaxy S26 lineup expected to take center stage
Mashable reported that the Unpacked event will mainly focus on the Galaxy S26 family, as Samsung continues to build its premium smartphone lineup.
Engadget also noted that the event is expected to introduce the S26 devices as Samsung’s newest flagship models, following the company’s usual release cycle for the Galaxy S series.
Processor strategy expected to vary by region
Reports say the top phone in the lineup will use Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 processor in the U.S. and China. In other regions, Samsung will likely use its own Exynos 2600 processor.
This difference still matters, but the performance gap is getting smaller. Snapdragon processors have usually outperformed Samsung’s Exynos chips in benchmarks and thermal efficiency. However, recent versions have improved, so the regional differences are not as noticeable as before.
Battery and charging upgrades rumored
A report from SamMobile says the Galaxy S26 could have a 5,100 mAh battery and support 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging. If true, this would mean a small increase in battery size and faster charging compared to earlier models.
More devices expected at the event
In addition to smartphones, Samsung is likely to introduce updated Galaxy Buds 4 wireless earbuds. The new design is expected to move away from the previous generation’s look, which drew comparisons to Apple’s AirPods.
Part of Samsung’s annual flagship cycle
By holding the event in February, Samsung sticks to its usual early-year release schedule for premium devices. The Galaxy S series is still one of the company’s most important launches each year and often influences competition in the Android market.
Now that the event date is set, people are waiting to learn about the full features, pricing, and availability that Samsung will announce later this month.
